3 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga. You can see a lot of sights in a short amount of time on this three-day, two-night trip. The tour begins in Fes. First, we'll go to Ifrane, which is like Switzerland for Moroccans, and the cedar forest. Lunch in Midelt is followed by a drive along the magnificent Ziz River. We then arrive in Merzouga, a desert in the Sahara. Spend the night at the desert camp in the heart of the desert, where you can ride camels. Enjoy the Sahara's breathtaking sunsets and sunrises as well. Additionally, you will go to the Erfoud fossil town and the Rissani traditional market. Then go to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou as well as the Todra and Dades Gorges. Finally, pass via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and the High Atlas highlands. The tour ends in Marrakech.


Itinirary (3 Days)


Starting with an early pick-up from the airport or your Fes lodging, the three-day desert excursion to Marrakech begins. Then we take a southerly route through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is renowned for its subzero temperatures, snowfall, and chalet-style homes. Ifrane is often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco. The Barbary Macaques dwell in the cedar forest, which is where we next go. While exploring the forest, feel free to give them food. We proceed on to Midelt after that to have lunch there. Then, after traveling along the Ziz River and via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass, we make our way to the Sahara Desert. After that, we reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. where you switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. A stop will be made for you to enjoy the magical sunset on top of a high dune. Finally, we continue to the desert camp, where you can enjoy the Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire under the vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Wake up early in the morning to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast, then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a stroll in Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the workshops for fossilized marble. Then we drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra River has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains, making a high, red cliff-sided canyon. These gorges are an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades valley, through Boumalne Dades. Then it inevitably stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. And on a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and overnight in a hotel.

After breakfast, we continue our trip to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley. A rose festival is held annually in May. Where the locals offer their rose products, from perfumes, rose water, and oil to cosmetic products,. We then drive through the palm groves of Skoura. Later, we reach Ouarzazate, also known as the gate of the desert. We will visit the studios where famous movies were shot. Thereafter, we depart to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified village is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, etc., and TV series, including Game of Thrones. Then we continue to Marrakesh. Driving through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and also the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and to take pictures at interesting spots.
