Itinirary (4 Days)


The 4-Day Morocco Desert Tour From FES The itinerary starts with an early pick-up from the airport or your accommodation in Fes. Then we travel through Imouzzer to the south to reach Ifrane, which is renowned for its frigid temperatures, snowfall, and chalet-style homes. It's no wonder it's referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco. We next go on to the cedar forest, which is home to the barbary macaques. While ambling through the woodland, feel free to feed them. Lunch will be served in Midelt when we carry on. Then we continue on to Errachidia, traveling along the Ziz River and through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass . when we get to Errachidia. Through Boumalne Dades, on our way to the gorges, we make the unavoidable halt at the "monkey fingers" rock formation. And on a ridgetop overlooking the Dades Valley. Dinner and a hotel room for the night.

After breakfast, we continue to Todra Gorges, where the course of the Todra River has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains, making a high, red cliff-sided canyon. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Then we continue our way through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. Free time for lunch on the way. In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where you switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. A stop will be made for you to enjoy the magical sunset on top of a high dune. Then continue to the desert luxury camp, where you can enjoy the Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire under the vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Waking up early in the morning is a must-do in order to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to exploring the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, and fossil areas to fabulous oases. Which are the ideal places for so many outdoor activities? Firstly, we start our journey in Merzouga by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit in their handmade, woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that, we take a stroll in a palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called Flamingos Lake. Dinner and overnight In a hotel.

After breakfast, we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a stroll in Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the workshops for fossilized marble. After that, we drive along the Ziz River, and we stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Then we drive through the Cedar Forest and Ifrane to reach Fes.
