Itinirary (3 Days)


3 Day Atlas Mountains Trek & Express Sahara Desert Tour: You will leave your vehicle in Agersioual (1,600m), which is located in the upper-level foothills of the Western High Atlas mountains, and meet your local guide before embarking on a 12-kilometer excursion. This journey will take you from Marrakech to the Berber village of AIkkiss (1,700m), over the Tizi n Agersioual pass, and through the Moulay Brahim Gorges. The Asni weekly market is held every Saturday (2200m). After eating lunch inside a Berber home (or by the river), continue your journey by ascending the Imnane valley and crossing the Tizi n Tamter mountain (2779 m). From here, you can see both the Imlil Valley and the Imnane Valley. Another 1h30 trek down from here will take you to the village of Imlil, where you will enjoy an evening meal in the charming guesthouse. 1h20 drive and 6hours walking.

Leaving Imlil in the morning, you will drive to Zagora through the High Atlas Mountains by the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) via Agdz Stop for lunch in Ourzazate / Agdz. Arriving in Zagora, you’ll find yourself in a typical oasis, an important stopping point for camel caravans, and now a gateway to the desert. Once in Zagora, you will get on your camels for a short trek and get to your camp in the Oasis of Nakhla. 8hours Drive.

Return to Marrakesh, stopping for lunch at Aït Benhaddou. An early departure from Zagora will give you enough time to explore the ancient mud-walled Kasbah. Aït Benhaddou is a ‘fortified city’, or ksar, along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Arrive in Marrakesh in the late afternoon. 7 hour's drive.
